How to use wheel repair machine to fix damaged wheel
Share
Diamond cutting services include removing old paint coatings, repairing damage and corrosion, and applying a completely new finish. The result is a wheel with an outstanding finish that is highly durable.
Powder coating services is usually preceded by a full sanding to remove imperfections and corrosion. The wheels are then placed in a preheated industrial oven to remove gas from the alloy, after which they are coated with a powder coated primer. Once the rims have cooled, a final coat of varnish is applied and the rims are returned to the oven for a further 30 minutes.
Diamond cutting wheel refurbishment is the same as powder coating wheel refurbishment with the addition of the Diamond Cut Wheel Repair Machine process, which removes a thin layer of the wheel's surface to achieve a diamond cut wheel finish.
The diamond cutting process can be divided into the following steps:
- Use professional equipment to remove tires.
- Clean dirt, grit and grease from alloy wheels using a specialized jetting machine.
- Place the wheel in a lathe and make high-precision cuts to the damaged points.
- Preheat the wheel in an oven to remove air from the alloy.
- Apply a protective varnish.
- Allow the wheel to cool for approximately 20-30 minutes.
- Inspect the surface carefully to ensure that the finish is even and of a high standard.
- Remount the tires, check the tire pressure and balance the wheels.
